A walk along the top of the ramparts (outer defensive wall) of the Old City; starting from Jaffa Gate in the Christian Quarter, through the Armenian Quarter, and towards the Jewish Quarter. Shot mostly with Olympus ZD 11-22mm lens.

Fotosensitive > The Arab village of Silwan, just opposite the Jewish Quarter of the Old City

Fotosensitive > Tourists gathering at the Dung Gate, the gate closest to the Western Wall and the vehicular entrance to the Jewish Quarter. The city's trash was taken out through this gate from the 2nd century, hence the name.

Fotosensitive > Western Wall; not actually a part of the Temple but instead part of a retaining wall built by Herod to support ancient renovations. The sloping platform on the right leads to the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa mosque complex.
