Going to visit the detention center was an interesting experience. There were two rival gangs there and they could not be let out at the same time. They really didn’t get along well. I got to speak to them, but it was hard because I could not speak Spanish and the fellow helping me did not speak English very well. I told them about God’s love and forgiveness and that He had paid the price for their sins. Five young men stated that they wanted to live for Christ. The workers from Orphan Helpers work with them every day. They have a volunteer who stays at the detention center to work with the guys
